MacDroid would definitely be my recommendation.
Although, it’s not free and cost 20 bucks annually, it’s worth it for me since I do quite a lot of content transfers between my Samsung Fold 4 and MacBook Pro. I really like how MacDroid is integrated into Finder app when the Samsung Fold 4 is plugged into the MacBook.
Works with older phones too!
I was worried it wouldn’t recognize my old Android phone, but MacDroid picked it up right away. Now I can back up all my pictures and videos without any issues. It’s incredibly helpful and easy to use.
