Serial Port Monitor Made Work Easier and Faster

I’m Jon Kinne, and I evaluated navigation programs for sailing on behalf of CustomWare, a company that develops an extensive selection of systems and software for many different applications.
While working on the navigation program, I couldn’t figure out whether the program was correctly connecting and disconnecting from the serial ports. It was very important that I knew the IRP’s time sequence without losing it amidst the massive volumes of data I was working with overall.
I had previously been using Serial Port Driver and liked it, so I decided to try their Serial Port Monitor after seeing it on their website.
It was one of the best decisions I made. Thanks to the SPM, I was able to appropriately filter the data, and handle numerous data streams moving through the navigation program on multiple serial ports.
Serial Port Monitor made it possible for me to quickly and easily see the operations across several serial ports carrying data to the navigation program. Without them, I don’t want to think about all of the time I would have wasted trying to diagnose issues that SPM helped me identify in moments.

Serial Port Monitor ActiveX Helped Me Create A Debugging Tool

My name is Florin, I’m a freelance software developer, and I’m going to talk about my experiences using Serial Port Monitor ActiveX.
My initial issue was that I needed to be able to embed a serial monitor that could fit and function into the application I was working on. The application being one that communicated through serial ports with different products and devices created by variable companies.
All I needed was a tool that would log any communication events via the port for the sake of debugging purposes.
I decided to go with due to it’s excellent documentation. It was clear a lot of work had been put into Serial Port ActiveX, and nothing else seemed to come close in comparison. I didn’t like how some of the competing software appeared to function with 3rd-party applications.
As soon as I downloaded it, it did exactly what I needed it to do (log communication events). I am very excited to fully embed Serial Port ActiveX into my program to help me monitor any protocol errors in my devices, as well as monitor any serial port issues that may arise!
